County Fair and Back-to-School Time
|
|
Caring People for Animals volunteers are preparing for the Boundary County Fair and back-to-school time.
The organization will have a booth at the fair and an opportunity for you to get a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to use at the CPA Thrift Store. You can pick up your ticket now at the store, or wait until fair time. The winning ticket will be drawn on September 2.
Another lucky person can win a kid’s backpack loaded with school supplies. Raffle tickets are on sale for $.50 each at the thrift store and will also be sold at the CPA fair booth. The drawing will be held on August 31.
You don’t need to be present to win either prize.
CPA urges you to visit the thrift store. The community’s generous donations have filled the store’s racks with clean, back-to-school clothing and household goods. The organization’s new quarters in the former Co-Op building on South Main Street provide a spacious area for furniture, as well.
All store profits help provides low-cost spay/neuter for Boundary County pets. By reducing the number of unwanted pets, fewer animals end up in pounds and shelters or dying of neglect. CPA is a non-profit, all-volunteer group working toward the goal of “No More Homeless Pets.”
