Pop passed away at his home early Saturday morning. Pop retired from the United States Marines in 1963, after 25 five years of service in the Corps. He was at Pearl Harbor the day Japan attacked the island. He served throughout the South Pacific during WWII and continued his service on into the Koren War. He retired as an E-9 just as his second oldest son was entering the Corps at the start of the Vietnam conflict.
Pop is survived by his four children, Kraig, Jerre, Malinda and Jim, twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild.
During his retirement he loved going fishing and coaching little league and pony league baseball. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
