County Planning And Zoning Members Sought

Boundary County Commissioners are seeking letters of interest from those in our community interested in serving on the Boundary County Planning and Zoning Commission.

Two people will be appointed to complete vacated positions, one expiring in January, 2011, the other expiring January, 2012, with appointments to begin immediately. A third vacancy will begin February 1 and run a full four-year term ending January 2014.

Those interested must have been a full-time resident of Boundary County for a minimum of two years.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meets the third Thursday of each month and hears a variety of land use applications, weighing the pros and cons of proposals and rendering recommendations or decisions based on the provisions of the Boundary County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance.

In addition, those submitting letters of interest are asked to attend the next planning and zoning meeting at 5:30pm Thursday, December 17, for interviews by sitting planning and zoning commissioners.
