Hazel Pearl Severson McGlocklin

November 12, 1920 - June 12, 2010

      


Hazel Pearl Severson McGlocklin finished tending her worldly garden and went to be with her Lord on June 12, 2010. Hazel passed peaceably at her home in Bonner's Ferry surrounded by family and friends. Services were be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 2:00pm in Bonners Ferry Funeral Home in Bonners Ferry with private interment in the Grandview Cemetery.

She was born Hazel Pearl Dickenson on November 12, 1920 in Scobey Montana. She lived on the family farm and attended local schools in Scobey with her 3-Brothers and 2-Sisters. She then moved to Williston, North Dakota where her son Roger Ellig was born. From North Dakota she moved to Kellogg Idaho and then lived for several years in Port Orchard, Washington. She returned to Idaho eventually settling in Post Falls where in 1948 she married Ardon Willis Severson.

While in Post Falls her Sons' Dale Ardon and Kim LeRoy, and Daughter Pamela Rae were born. Ardon and Hazel and their children enjoyed the natural beauty of Idaho with many camping and fishing trips. Hazel also shared her love while she worked as Certified Nursing Assistant for Coeur d' Alene homes. The family moved to Eastport before settling in Bonner's Ferry in 1969. While in Bonner's, Hazel worked for many years with love and dedication at the Bonner's Ferry hospital and was active in the local churches.

She was predeceased by her Husband Ardon and beloved Daughter Pam. In 1985 Hazel married Robert McGlocklin and they enjoyed splitting time between their property in Laughlin Nevada and their home in Bonners. At the time of her death she was married to Andrew Lon Huggins. Hazel was active in the Senior Center where she had many lifelong friends. Throughout her life she tended a garden of flowers, friends and family. She touched us all with love, joy and laughter and will never be forgotten. "While we have time let us do good"

Hazel is survived by her brother Elmer, and sisters Roxy and Maxine; her sons Roger (Jackie) of Richland, WA, Dale (Peggy) of Spokane WA, and Kim (Brenda) of Bonner's Ferry; 9-Grandchildren and 15-Great Grandchildren. Hazel also leaves behind many beloved, cousins, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
