Idaho Crowns 3 New Queens

The three day event started off fabulously at the Hilton Garden Inn in Boise Idaho on Thursday August 12th. After orientation all the contestants were treated to the Queens Dinner where Mrs. Idaho International 2010 Brandi Townsend, Miss Idaho International 201 Lacey Vander Boegh and Miss Teen Idaho International Taylor Lybbert were the guest of the hour!

Friday August 13th all the 2011 contestants met at the AmeriTel Inn in Boise for rehearsals. That evening, was the contestants interviews with the judges.

This years panel of judges consisted of; Troy McClain a finalist in the first season of The Apprentice. Troy is also a motivational speaker and works very close with the Special Olympic. Gloria Urwin, a real estate agent who is very involved in the community and has participated in pageants as well. Jane Thiel, who was Ms. Senior Idaho 2006. She traveled to Las Vegas to compete in the Ms. Senior America pageant. Jane is also very involved with Veterans as well as Sr. Citizen Centers around the state of Idaho. Eric Holley is the President of Oliver Finley, one of the Idaho International pageant's main sponsors this year. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Communication. Annette Charles, Annette has been involved with pageants for the past 7 years with her daughters. She has worked with Guild Dogs for the Blind, Girl Scouts, Wishing Star and Make-A-Wish.

The final competition began on Saturday August 14th, starting with rehearsals. That evening 21 ladies took the stage to compete for the Mrs. and Miss Teen Idaho International 2011 title.

The pageant started at 7:00pm at the Nampa Civic Center in Nampa Idaho where the Miss Teen contestants competed in Fun Fashion for their opening number. All contestants then competed in Fitness and Evening Gown where the Mrs. contestants were escorted by their husbands.

After all contestants competed in all areas of competition a top 5 for both the Mrs. and the Miss Teen were announced. All top 5 contestants then competed in Evening Gown and on-stage Interview.

The Idaho International Pageant did not hold a Miss Idaho International Pageant this year; however they did select a winner "At Large". This years Miss Idaho International 2011 is Heather Mallary. Heather's platform is the Look Good Feel Better program. Heather will travel to Chicago next July to compete in the Miss International Pageant.

On to the Mrs. and Miss Teen Idaho International top 5 finalists. Miss Teen Idaho International 2011 4th runner up was Amanda Foster from Wilder, 3rd runner up was Sami Howerton from Pocatello, 2nd runner up was Briana Cook of Boise, 1st runner up was Alyssa Watson of Caldwell and Miss Teen Idaho International 2011 is Julia Jaquin of Meridian.

Mrs. Idaho International 2011 4th runner up went to Diane Bevan of Burley, 3rd runner up was Angela Pable of Boise, 2nd runner up was Jill Knapp of Nampa, 1st runner up was Stephanie Garcia of Caldwell and Mrs. Idaho International 2011 is Rachel Landon of Nampa.

The Physical Fitness winner for Mrs. went to Rachel Landon and for Teen's went to Sami Howerton. Interview winner for Mrs. went to Jill Knapp and Julia Jaquin for the Teens. Evening Gown winner for the Mrs. was Stephanie Garcia and for Teen was Sami Howerton. Mrs. Congeniality was Ashley Hull of Burley and the Teen Congeniality winner was Jayde Burbank of Nampa. Photogenic winner went to Ashley Hull.
