Greetings Boundary County from all of us at the Restorium. March was a very busy month for us as the renovations continued to add charm and beauty to our indoor surroundings. Our "family room" received new carpet on March 11th, and the following day the new furniture arrived. The Friends of the Restorium donated two of each, new love seats, couches, and chairs. Sandpoint Furniture donated two small coffee/magazine tables that accented the rest of the furniture quite nicely. The remodeling of resident rooms is coming close to a finish so that we should be able to begin accepting applications soon.
St. Patrick's Day brought us some very talented volunteers whose Irish songs and music was enjoyed by staff and residents alike, we look forward to seeing them again! With an absence of birthdays to celebrate this month, Kathy dreamt up a "Spring Fling" party for the residents on the 31st, with music by "Fancy Pants and the Bloomers", (Nancy and the girls), and brightly colored spring refreshments. We have a new member of our extended family, Claire Godwin, to join in our activities.
Some of you may have seen the demo equipment out back removing the old storage shed. We are making way for a new storage building, expanded parking lot, and yes, a garden area!! The residents are happy to see the snow fade away and anxious to get out in the sunshine. We look forward to getting the garden started so they have a fun place to "putter" about this spring and summer. Have some free time you feel like donating to any of our projects? Give us a call, or stop in for a visit!
Until next month, that's a wrap from the Community Restorium, stop in and check out all the new changes when your in the neighborhood. We'll have more news for you next month on our progress, and we look forward to seeing you at our summer Bar-B-Q!!
