Second place went to Stephanie Trammell, from Palmer, Alaska, with her speech on "When Things Get Left Behind."

Kenneth Gingras, a high school dual credit student from St. Maries, earned third place with his speech on "Stereo Appreciation."

Jesse Seid from Coeur d'Alene earned fourth place with "Where's the Justice?"

Fifth place went to Cody Lemieux from Gras Morne, Haiti with his speech "Malaria: Not As Fun As It Sounds."
