North Idaho College's Outdoor Pursuits program will offer seven separate clinics this summer to teach participants how to sail. Each clinic for adults will run in three sessions on NIC's Yap-Keehn-Um Beach. Times vary.
Available clinics include:
Session 1: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays June 3, 10 and 17
Session 2: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays June 4, 11 and 18
Session 3: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays July 1, 8 and 15
Session 4: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays July 2, 9 and 16
Session 5: 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays Aug. 4, 11 and 18
Session 6: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays Aug. 5, 12 and 19
Session 7: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Aug. 6, 13 and 20
Each clinic comprises nine hours of hands-on instruction, covering small boat sailing skills and equipment terminology. A fee of $145 covers the cost of instruction, boats and all related equipment.
No experience is necessary, but participants should be able to swim.
