Free Fishing at the Lions Den

On Saturday, June 13, kids of all ages arrived at the Lions Den pond, ready to fish. The pond had been stocked with over 500 fish, planted by the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho. Of the hundreds of fish planted, about a half dozen were in the five to ten pound range. One of the first fish to be pulled from the pond was in this range.

As the day drew on, families enjoyed hotdogs and pop, partially donated by Boundary Trading Company, and each participant received a gift or prize. Far North Outfitters donated bags for everyone and about a dozen kids won fishing poles.

Approximately 10-12 Lions Club members attended as well.

"Everybody had a great time," commented Luke Estabrooks. "I think it was a great success!"
