Benefit Golf Tournament Scheduled

The Bonners Ferry Border Patrol station is currently organizing the Law Enforcement and Friends Benefit Golf Tournament to be held on Saturday, August 29 at 1pm at Mirror Lake Golf Course.

According to Rhonda Vogl, the proceeds from this benefit golf tournament will go to Bonner Community Hospice, which serves both Bonner and Boundary Counties.

"Anyone interested in participating may form a team and sign up for a fun day of golf for a very worthy cause," Rhonda said. There will be four man/woman teams as well as a scramble tournament. Prizes will be given for Low Gross and Low Net as well as a prize for last place. Additional prizes will include Longest Drive for both men and women in both rounds on hole number four as well as Closest to Pin for both rounds for the men on hole number eight and for the women on hole number two. Raffles and other prizes will also be available. Mulligans will be available for $5 with a maximum of four per team. There will also be a putting contest at the turn; one putt will cost $3. The entry fee is $50, which includes green fees and dinner.

Rhonda said that cash or prize donations are currently being accepted.

Anyone interested or needing more information may contact Rhonda Vogl at 267-2734.
