Each week the Lakeshore Realty North team will feature an outstanding individual/ business for their contribution to our North Idaho community, which includes Boundary, Bonner, and Kootenai Counties. (This week is a special week, as we are partnering with Century 21 Four Seasons Realty – Bonners Ferry Real Estate.)
🏆 Introducing… Aimee Bernd Christopherson!
Century 21 Four Seasons Realty – Bonners Ferry Real Estate and Lakeshore Realty North are grateful for selfless, generous, compassionate, and caring community member, AIMEE CHRISTOPHERSON.
Aimee has a heart of gold 💛 and is always working to better the lives of the people around her. Aside from raising their own children, Aimee, along with her husband, Stan, also open their home, heart, and lives to foster children. Aimee’s family generously shares this vibrant and energetic woman with the Boundary County community. She is not only an elementary teacher, but she is also a teacher of life, responsibility, compassion, and generosity. We have much to learn from her.
Aimee and her family moved here in 2004 and have made it their mission to be of service to those in need. Aimee is a special education teacher at Mt Hall Elementary and has been the coordinator for Hope House of Boundary County, a free community clothing closet, since 2010. Her experience allows her to be an advocate and resource for homeless students and foster children aging out of the system in Boundary County. She provides aid and assistance through Hope House and many other programs, such as the FFA food packaging event in Boundary County, which she helped to promote. The program distributes meal packs to middle school and high school kids in the community who have aged out of the BOCO Backpacks Program.
Aimee chooses to spend most of her Saturday afternoons at Hope House, being of service to those in need. Sure, she could be doing a multitude of other things on her Saturday afternoons, instead, she puts her heart & soul, time, and energy into Hope House, helping others. Aimee’s role there has helped countless families gain access to resources they were unaware of. In addition, as the Boundary County School District’s Homeless Liaison, she identifies students who are in transitional housing and is instrumental in helping them and their families gain access to the resources they need to get them back on their feet.
“Aimee is a great asset to Bonners Ferry. Over the years she has greatly contributed to the well-being of so many who have needed help whether it has been through countless hours at the Hope House, teaching in the schools, and raising foster children. We are so fortunate to have such a truly giving individual who lives the true meaning of charity.” ~ Merle Ansley
“While Hope House is only open two days a week (Tues. and Sat.), Aimee’s work extends throughout the week, including middle of the night runs out to Hope House to get clothes for kids being taken into foster care, or mothers fleeing domestic violence situations. Her biggest time consumer and challenge, is sorting, storing, and managing all the donations.” ~ Stan Christopherson
Thank you, Aimee, for all your Saturdays, your generosity, your time, your energy, and your passion. 🙏
